Summary: No indication of what's changed in new releases of the
clang analyzer
Product: clang
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P
Component: Static Analyzer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Every now and then a new release of the clang analyzer appears at
http://clang-analyzer.llvm.org/, but there's never any indication of what's new
in this release. When 2.52 appears and I'm currently using 2.51 should I go
out and build a new install (quite a lengthy process) and re-run it on my code
(even lengthier due to having to weed out false positives) or are the changes
mostly cosmetic, or portability fixes, and I can hold off for a few more
releases? I've gone through the source tree but have never been able to find a
changelog, there's nothing on the web pages, and even trawling cfe-dev doesn't
provide much insight. Any chance of updating a brief changelog at the clang
web site for each release?
