What version of DWARF does Clang/LLVM support?

appears to suggest DWARF3
also the link http://www.eagercon.com/dwarf/dwarf3std.htm seems to be a very
old one --> dwarfstd.org
It should be documented how Clang/LLVM can be instructed to emit older DWARF
for legacy tools (-gdwarf-2 or -gdwarf-3).
