Hi,

I get an unpleasant crackling noise in the current git master version of
LMMS which keeps me away from using it right now. Usually, I'm using ALSA
but the noises appear with JACK or ALSA's OSS emulation, too. The setup
was tested with Soundblaster Live! as well as Edirol UA-25 USB Audio Port
and the noise appears on both, so my best guess is that the problem lies
within LMMS itself.

With git bisect, I was able to track it down to commit
37ccbb4b50dc0c10f431c931a8e9842ca6152d96 which represents a merge of the
fx-mixer-rework branch.

I pretty much like to have this one fixed and even can offer help when it
comes to debugging or coding but I definitely need a push start where to
have a closer look.

Can anyone help me out with some hints on how to best look further down
into it?

bye,
  Settel

PS: My system is an Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) running on a 32bit Intel
dual core system with 2GB RAM.
