Hi all,
I am a pianist (sort of) and I’ve been looking for an open source replacement
for Cakewalk for a few years now, LMMS is definitely it, it has everything I
ever wanted, I’m especially impressed with the free plugins, in-particular the
sound font functionality.
There is just one thing missing, or one thing that I can’t figure out... When
recording from my MIDI keyboard (A Yamaha Clavinova) the pedals don’t get
recorded – when im actually recording I can hear the effect of the pedals
correctly, but the pedal up/down simply isn’t recorded in the piano-roll editor
– is this a known problem or something that’s being worked on? Or have I missed
something already in the software? It seems like an easy thing to implement
and would make all the difference in the world to me, as my main aim is to
record myself playing piano.
