Hi Frank, i have tried your plugin on stable branch, just had to add
ADD_SUBDIRECTORY(hydrogen_import) to the CMakeList.txt in the plugins
folder...the midi import works as expected with the *.h2song files...... can i
add a few pointers ( im just a user not a dev ).
(*note that i am using lmms from my home folder not from a system folder i.e
/usr/bin : /usr/local/bin << the default >> )
(1) it would be good if the actual samples that the song uses were searched for
and didn't rely on having to be in the lmms/samples folder .
(2) the import widget/window needs to have the filters set e.g *.h2song etc ...
although the wildcard obviously works.
(3) possibly an option in the edit menu to switch the feature on/off ????
(4) possible automatic replacement of drumkit samples by ones in the actual
drum samples that ship with lmms, I'm thinking of some sort of "closest match"
filter eg 808 kick could be the 1st matching 808 k* ( maybe im being way too
optimistic here ;)........
there is actually a branch of LMMS with hydrogen drumkits installed ....
when i tried to load a drumkit directly from /usr/share/hydrogen/data/drumkits
running LMMS from the terminal got stuck in a loop with the error
MAX_LAYERSnLayer > MAX_LAYERSnLayer > MAX_LAYERSnLayer > MAX_LAYERSnLayer >
MAX_LAYERSnLayer > MAX_LAYERSnLayer > MAX_LAYERSnLayer > MAX_LAYERSnL so
had to kill it with ctrl c.
perhaps because i hyavn't installed LMMS system wide could be part of the
problem ?
thanks Mikobuntu ;)
