I've been thinking about the idea of using the case as the model for graphics, and I think there's some fundamental things missing from any of the current drafts.
Firstly, some things that have already been discussed, such as texture, etc. Secondly, the knobs and buttons would have to be done in a theme-appropriate way. Bill, your drafts have had an issue with these: your buttons are mostly just the old SID buttons recoloured, and we can figure out something better for them. For the knobs, I think they would have to be done in a way that reflects the appearance of the C-64 proper, not things made of gears... If we can make knobs that look like the C-64 keyboard keys - if that makes sense - that would probably go a long way. And yes I realize it's hard to make a knob look like what a keyboard button would look like if it were a knob... but that's just part of the everyday challenges of graphic design. Dark grey plastic, with lines done in white... that could do it. That just leaves the issue of buttons... we can think about those later. Also, I'm not sure if the current layout is optimal... there might be some cause for moving things around a bit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Androi apps run on BlackBerry 10 Introducing the new BlackBerry 10.2.1 Runtime for Android apps.
