talking about 1. Bundling binary 2. Wait for LinuxVST.
Scenario #1 is what I am advocating for and scenario #2 is what you are
advocating for. To you are certain #1 is not a possibility I think is the
topic of this original discussion.

I appreciate the reiteration of this, but I had already made this point in
my first email:

There is some topic about VSTs in general on the KVR boards and I'm a bit
confused about the licensing in regards to VSTs. Perhaps someone can
educate me.
What I am reading is that the source of your own VSTs can be released GPL,
but most (if not all) VSTs are created with the vst steinberg sdk, which is
proprietary. I know there are GPL projects that are created with .NET
(which is also proprietary) but can still be GPL. Is the jury out on this
ideal? Can someone (perhaps Vesa) explain the implications?
