64bit has been missing support for VST for quite some time.
I am unsure how to fix this, though...
I have tried every combination of wine-dev/wine1.4-dev/wine1.6-dev [i386
amd64] that I can possibly think of. I have tried it with no specifier,
I have tried it with [amd64 i386] I have tried it with the OR pipe...
It simply fails unless I use i386.
I asked on the #ubuntu-packaging and someone suggested building only a
32 bit package.
I am tired of pbuilder failing over and over with nothing working
(except specifying [i386])
I really want to get this newer version in.... but I have no idea why it
fails, everything I have tried doesn't change it. Since there is no VST
support on 64bit (since 0.4.10? or so... is there VST on 12.04 x86_64?)
I am not sure what to do, as I do not know enough about cmake to force
pbuilder to behave and set lmms to use vst regardless of architecture....

I was given this job as packager because I was the person who pestered
everyone to fix the bug about lmms only running from the terminal. No
one would fix the simple bug. So I decided that I could somehow figure
out how to get the desktop file to install.

If anyone who understands the internals of cmake would be willing to
tell me how to do this, I will do it. The rules file uses cmake and
builds according to that. I am not a programmer, I am not a Debian
packager. I am simply a user who wanted to fix a bug, and no one wanted
to take care of LMMS, so I have (as much as I can). I learn more and
more as I go along, but I started knowing nothing.

I need to know how to make cmake think that installing the VST support
is TRUE. How can I pass this argument in by default? If VST works in
the make install version, then it *should* work... but how do I tell
that to the computer in a way it understands???

Does the daily ppa work? Does the daily ppa have VST support for 64bit?

I don't mean to sound upset. I have been spending far too much time
running pbuilder with no real result, and I don't want to play games
with the compiler.... I'd rather have something than nothing. And with
the way this has gone (I have been doing this since late January) I am
ready to simply install a working version without VST support on 64bit.
If someone wants it they can install lmms:i386, right?
