Hi all,
With LMMS 1.0 the program is now more stable, it has a new UI, new
instruments, and other wonderful things.
So now the new user will install the program (after having given a look
to the screnshots and the video on lmms site, which have to be updated),
open it and see the fantastic plugins it has.
He/she may now want to try writing some music with the piano roll... But
he/she doesn't know how these plugins works. Let's see if there are
presets... Here they are!
Yeah... There are interesting ones, but most of them strongly need
tweaking. (mostly volume and envelope because of clips at the start/end
of the sound)
I'm not saying that they are not good, but LMMS should offer magical
sounds, like any major free VST.
Also, some plugins have nearly no preset. *_LB-302 has 3 of them!_*
In the last contest we've heard really interesting sounds that lmms
users are able to make.
So, what about filling LMMS with new presets?
It's true that there is the Sharing Platform, but most users (like me)
may just see the built-in ones.
How do we do that?
I thought that a contest would be good.
Best LMMS Presets Contest!
These will be put in the program!
We can take like 10 to 20 for each plugin (depending on number of
submission for that instrument).
Any user should be able to submit 2 presets per plugin. I would have
done 5, but since the last contest had a lot of submission, doing 5
would result in an overload for the judges!
I'm not sure about allowing Zyn presets. These would be put in the
"Collection" folder.
