I am sure there are many on this list that can indicate numerous distros

As MusicBear mentioned, this is a bit off-topic. Although it's pragmatic
to recommend a FOSS *nix, from my experience it is often the wrong answer
to the compatibility questions.
I am not comfortable telling any of the user community to replace their OS
to run one application. 50% of China still uses Windows XP, which
represents approx 10% of the world's population. I'm glad we have someone
to test this. Thanks!!
