I have read up on mixers, partly to understand the architecture, and also to write something for wiki, but i have some nags with current mixer Take a look http://snag.gy/zujJN.jpg
Here user has an instrument routed to FX1 This instrument is then routed to fx2 and fx3 fx2 has a plat-fx and fx3 has a shape modifier-fx The mix wanted is a 100% wet signal of fx2+fx3 This seams to be a pretty common scenario. However lmms will not allow FX1 (dry instrument) to be taken out of the mix. Shouldent there be a way to /send/ the signal, but /not /be audiable, in the final mix? Also it is widely used to send a signal to several FX-channels, and then place those channels in different stereo-posistions (broathen the texture) -again the dry signal is removed. Are the option to 'mute' the dry signal meant for later, or are these scenarios just dum, and should be made in a diferent way? -- View this message in context: http://linux-multimedia-studio-lmms.996328.n3.nabble.com/1-092-mixer-and-using-it-tp9673.html Sent from the lmms-devel mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Want fast and easy access to all the code in your enterprise?
