 I got the installer from sourceforge, so I guess it´s not infected - it
worked fine for my computer :).

Before the problem, LMMS was actually running fine for quite a while, along
with a few "larger" programs like GIMP and some games.

Also, his computer always used the SSD containing windows as boot device, no
problem there. 


As LMMS doesnt touch any sensitive system folders as you said, I guess I´ll
have to check his hardware setup - it´s always been a bit unstable. Thanks
