Most of the LMMS synths can make wobbles and growls. Monstro and 3xOSC,
alongside the already mentioned Watsyn are perfectly capable of making
growls. Its just a matter of complex Pitch, Filter and FX automation.
Its nice that you want to develop a synth and learn C++, but if the sounds
can already be achieved with native synths, I don't see much point to
include it inside LMMS.
That's just my 2¢
P.S. If you don't believe in LMMS growls, let me know, I can post some
examples to make you a believer ;)
