Not a problem for you, perhaps.  That doesn't mean it is not a problem.
Too much money is a serious problem.  It can put the project into a tax
burden that we aren't prepared for.

I'm not even sure of the legalities of paying a developer without having a
tax id. I'm mostly familiar with US tax law and we use 1099 form
<http://www.irs.gov/uac/Form-1099-MISC,-Miscellaneous-Income-> for these
things.  I'm sure each jurisdiction handles it differently.

The problem is, we aren't an entity that is registered in any nation, state
or province to perform business transactions.  This puts the tax burden on
the individual receiving the money (which is currently me).  So, yes, too
much money is a problem and I'd prefer if we stop making sensational
statements like this as it lends little to the conversation. :)
