I got the other mail while writing xD
So, yeah, we may try starting with a search system in the LSP, but did
the users that uploaded those content want to offer those to other
people for their projects?
Also we would lose that division into categories (mood, when-to-put, see
first mail) that would bring a lot of inspiration for musicians.
So we can start acquiring content in a section of the LSP, but I do
think we must use/create a proper service for this thing, something a
youtuber would find more easy to browse, like the yt library.
Talking about existing projects: the YT library does write the author
name, so we could, like, upload tracks here and write "LMMS community"
or something like that. Another project that specifically offer
royalty-free tracks is Jamendo.com, while freesound.org is about sounds,
and if you search cinematics or long tracks they mostly sound like
granular synthesis products.
freemusicarchive.org is just perfect (see that "for commercial use"
query), and there is also a page about API
<http://freemusicarchive.org/api> that could help us to integrate their
contents (I mean our contents uploaded there) to lmms.io... (maybe, I'm
not the best at databases and sites)
About having our platform: well, I know that would be something we would
have to deal with, and I admit I don't know how to. So probably using an
existing project is the best.
Google does quality-checks to submitted tracks for the yt library, so
maybe we should have it too, and that needs people.
Since we aren't Google, but LMMS, I don't think that this part would be
too much of a trouble. We must have more that one person, but we won't
have so many submissions to need more than 5.
But again, this is only one part of it, and I don't know who else is
needed to run a platform like that.

Very nice.
I think if we were to leverage a service that already has support for
this it would save us a lot of coding.
For example, we currently have a service account that we use for our
YouTube videos and Google+ API so if we could develop a way to
encourage the YouTube'rs to tag our software, we could do a search via
YouTube and display the results on our front page... but this might
not be very active since "membership" could be a bit confusing.
Another item we could do is to create our own "favorites" listing in
the library you just linked and have it feed to our webpage, but this
would need to be maintained by someone and we would probably want some
form of submittal and review process.
In any case, I think what you are describing is quite interesting, but
we would need some recommendations on implementation and maintenance
of such a service and a volunteer to stay on top of that.
If you find a way to make this possible, lmms.io <http://lmms.io> bug
tracker is a good place to start the technical conversation about
getting it onto our site.

About blender, well, it's not that youtubers need a 3D pic as a
background for their videos, they need music xD
Anyway, it was just something I wanted to discuss about. If it's
not needed, we won't have an audio library.
Some audio-software companies do offer loops, tho (like Imageline,
Magix, Sony's AcidPro, Ableton)
What about having them ourselves? Also because LMMS is going to
have better Audio Samples support.
But maybe this kind of things is up to individual users: if any
LMMS user wants to, they create a loop library and find a place to
host those themselves.
