Has anyone suggested we start with LMMS, change the first word from Linux (e.g. to 'Laser'!), and change MultiMedia to Music Making or Music Mastering? If not, can I suggest that? ;-) So it keeps the initials and the name we're all familiar with but gets a cooler, more OS-independent name? Laser Music Master System sounds good to me. There's plenty of projects that have changed names to keep a favoured or established acronym - PulseAudio, for example.
