Perry, I just tried this in Windows XP using the default project. I CTRL + Dragged Master Volume, Sample Track and Default preset. When I click "Play" each automation event moves the respective knob. Do your knobs at lest move? If you think it will help, can you send a screenshot of what you're seeing?
