You have more choices with open source than closed source IMHO. if there 
are bugs you have to wait for them to be fixed. if you know how to do 
some programming you can take a stab at fixing those bugs you find and 
contributing to the project.

LMMS is a great project. i do admit in its current state its really 
lacking, but i think once the new core goes into it its going to be an 
amazing piece of software.
