A reminder: don't just mix on headphones. Mix on crappy cheap speakers. My netbook's internal speakers were quite usefully awful, but stopped working. So today my girlfriend got me some horrible cheap USB-powered speakers!
Listening to stuff through these is revelatory. I've just been through remixing *everything*. Using bad speakers as well as good ones will teach you to mix.
