You can use the KXStudio-Team Repositories ->
http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/KXStudio:Repositories#Ubuntu
(The 'Main' one contains LMMS 0.4.12 for all Ubuntu versions since Lucid).
Those PPAs will update lots of apps (which may or may not be a good thing,
you decide).
