Here is another video with updated mixed view (now I putted my
hands on knobs, meters and made some adjustments to slider scale):

Several attempts to use different video codecs and bit rates did not
helped to make gradients look well, so there is also a screenshot:

P.S. I also like the idea of integrated compressor/limiter and eq for
each audio track. I always wanted to try to write compressor algorithm,
so if you have no preference in those, I'll try to implement them.
Internal compressor and eq (with nice guis) can make MusE even more
'all-in-one' app :).
