You know, this is a part of which I don't really grasp all that MusE has to
offer, this did give some new insights :)

It also reminds me of the midi device configuration dialog, you've reworked
it quite extensively. The harder to understand bits are a bit more hidden
now, like the Def In / Def Out ch. Wasn't there more of them earlier too?
hardcore functionality for outboard gear users, right?
I mostly just connect en external keyboard for entering notes and it mostly
works now :) There is some bug there still though, I sometimes need to
reapply the configuration a few times before it sticks.
