If caller requires end-to-end ordering, application must ensure that packets traverse only ordered or atomic queues. - Alex raised issue of IP fragmentation where an application may receive one packet and then fragment it while other threads may receive packets that are not fragmented. How is the order of the individual fragments observed with respect to other packets from the ordered queue? Petri to propose v1.0 solution for this, which may be incomplete. - Shmulik's proposal was discussed. Consensus is that if an application uses other frameworks besides ODP then it is the application's responsibility to initialize each of those frameworks on a per-thread basis as required by that framework. ODP does not have knowledge of other frameworks nor can it be responsible for cascading initialization calls between them. - ODP uses C bindings. Adding C++ bindings may be an interesting future case but more use-case analysis would be needed to advance this. - Discussed interaction between pktio and classification. Stuart should have revised PktIO doc out later this week and will propose solutions as part of that. Thank you.
