These patch series related to 'next' branch which is staging cherry-picked patches from 'api-next' branch. Acceptance criteria for patches are: present linux-generic implementation and test code coverage with validation test. And of course there should be no obvious issues. So after including that patches to 'next', 'next' will be merged to 'master' and tagged as 1.6.
Please note if something is missing for 1.6. Otherwise patches will be considered to 1.7. Thanks, Maxim.
