The locked point is pretty simple, it's a way to keep track of the distance
and bearing to a point regardless of your direction in relation to the
point. This lets you keep track of a specific point without it changing like
it might if it were a checkpoint or a route point. The locked point isn't
saved to any database, it's just temporary.
