Hi everybody,

I will write this message in English, so our friends from Sun also understand what I'm talking about.

I've had a (very good) email conversation with Rafaella the past few days about the reviewing process. She expressed some concerns regarding the fact that there's only one person reviewing a certain part of the help. I can share that concern, since it's not good for consistency. However, because the big load of work that has to be done, we're quite short handed. So that's the main reason I didn't pay much attention to it at the first place. But that wouldn't be good for the end result so something has to be done about it. Here's what I came up with: The "nl.openoffice.org localization veterans" all know Natalie. She has reviewed (almost) the entire help for OOo 1.x and she has done a great job with that. So I asked her if she is willing to do the same for OOo 2.x and she is. This means that she will review all the review sheets that we come up with in order to keep consitency at a high level.

Another thing we need to do in order to keep a high consistency level is to use the style guide. I didn't mention that one in the review guide I wrote, because I thought it died a silent death. But it turns out that that isn't the case. So for all reviewers, please download the style guide from http://www.xs4all.nl/~simonbr/stijlgids-04.sxw and have a look at it.

Since Henk has had some confusions in the beginning of the reviews there are a couple of review files on issue 57793 that shouldn't be used. My suggestion is to close down that issue and transfer the files that are correct to a new issue.

Finally, there's the following plan on handling builds. Pavel Janik makes milestone builds on a regular basis. He also makes language packs for those builds. He has agreed to making a key-id language pack for each build he makes. The idea is that we are going to use these builds for reviewing. By adding the language pack to OOo it's possible to switch between the regular language and the key-id's. For the larger volumes of review work it's probably better to install the milestone build twice and add the language pack to one of them. That way both builds can be run at the same time which saves time.

Please let me know what you all think of the above mentioned things. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know.

Regards,

Bert Meersma
