Dear All,
this is to inform you on the progress of the corrections.
Alpha has now carried out the corrections in the Shared module which
have been reviewed by Natalie so far. During this correction cycle Alpha
has also corrected some global errors throughout the help files. The
modules Alpha has focused on so far are Calc and Shared.
After correcting the errors in the Calc module we passed to the Shared
component to see the most of the corrections across the various components.
To see what has been corrected so far please see the attachment just
created to the issue 59216.
Please note that the comment Alpha has written and need to be taken in
account are in the columns "Fixed? [Y/N]" and "Notes from Alpha". This
will avoid misunderstandings.
As usual for the Cal module, the comments in the "Fixed? [Y/N]" column are:
* OK --> when the issue has been fixed
* OK global --> when apart from the local fix, a general search has
been done in all the modules in the OLH
* OK/NOK* --> this is normally addressed to issues where there are
for example two items reported. The first has been fixed but the
second hasn't. In these cases it is important to read the comments
in the next column.
* NOK* --> this is when a change requested hasn't been made. Again
it is very important to read the comment from Nicole. In many
cases there is the note 'Retranslated English' or similar, when
for example there is an unmatched string (English source and Dutch
old translation don't match).
* TECH --> means that fixing that goes beyond a linguist possibility
and need a tech person to fix it. (Please note that all the issues
related to bold/no bold have been considered TECH also, although
in fact this is something a linguist could fix. However, fixing so
many bold issues would require a very long time, so maybe there is
a different way to fix it if is important by using macros or other
tools). Tech issues should be addressed in separate issues.
I will let you know in which build we can start seeing the corrections.
One more thing. We thought to start working on Basic, however it would
be very helpful if there is another module which has been completely
reviewed and - if I may say so - approved by Natalie. We would prefer to
work on complete modules if that's possible.
I wish you all Happy Easter days!
Kind Regards,
Rafaella
