Thanks! > It'd be good if we wouldn't allow duplicate venues (with same name and > same address). I suspect you don't. In this case, as mentioned earlier in the thread, although the names were the same, the addresses were slightly different: Mine included a tad more information than the original. I hadn't noticed that another on my team had already put a venue in there when I added it. (I included both city and state in the "City" field, whereas my colleague only included the city, and redundant information in the street address because it's so much easier to cut 'n' paste "street address, city, state, postal code" when it's all together into mapping web sites.) -- Ubuntu Linux DC LoCo Washington, DC http://dc.ubuntu-us.org/ -- Duplicate venue cannot be deleted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/660822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of loco- directory-dev, which is the registrant for loco-directory. Status in LoCo Directory: Confirmed Bug description: My bad: I created a venue that already existed. The system allowed me to enter a second one, because my address was more explicit than the original -- "City, ST" vs. "City" for city field, and "Street address, City, ST zip" vs. "Street address" for the address field. The venue(s) in question are "Taste of India" in Washington DC: * http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/venues/93/detail/ * http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/venues/240/detail/ (The second has the more explicit address.) _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~loco-directory-dev Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~loco-directory-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
