Error (as opposed to validation error) given if person enters more
than 32,000 for 'number of guests'

Bug description:
if you sign up for an event and say you are bringing more than 32,000
guests, you get an error message (which emails the devs and they they
treathen untold Violence and Horrors upon thy Person, Lands &c.),
rather than a friendly validation message.
