That sounds useful. There are quite a few open JIRA tickets. A couple are related to website infrastructure and should be handled so the project looks alive again. After that, some JIRA triage (e.g. simple patch attached so apply it, reproduce if reproduce available, ping author for more details if needed) might be a good way to get started. It may be worth flipping assignee on many of the tickets (often Curt) back to unassigned until they're claimed again. Combing through JIRA would let us whittle down the considerable backlog, permits us to work on mostly orthogonal tasks, and is an excuse to personally ping (possibly former) log4cxx users who once cared enough to file a bug report. That last bit is important since they're the probably the best starting point to reinvigorate the user community. - Rhys
