http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=10587 Illogical difference between removeAppender and removeALlAppenders methods Summary: Illogical difference between removeAppender and removeALlAppenders methods Product: Log4j Version: 1.2 Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: Other Component: Appender AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] There is a essential difference between the Logger's removeAppender and removeAllAppenders methods. The first one only removes the appender from the logger while the second one also closes it. I suggest renaming the second one to smth like removeAndCloseAllAppenders, because right now it may cause some confusion (at least it did for me) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
