Sorry for the inconvenience.
When building log4j fails, the following URL is quite interesting to watch.
http://nagoya.apache.org/~rubys/gump/
The problem was promptly fixed by Paul and the above URL will not remain yellow for long.

This is different than the test failing problem.
Buildfile: build.xml
Caught exception (org.apache.tools.ant.BuildException) while expanding site2.classpath: /tmp/gump/jakarta-log4j/${jakarta-site2}/lib not found.
init:
build.core:
[mkdir] Created dir: /tmp/gump/jakarta-log4j/dist/classes
[javac] Compiling 279 source files to /tmp/gump/jakarta-log4j/dist/classes
[javac] /tmp/gump/jakarta-log4j/src/java/org/apache/log4j/chainsaw/OroRegExpEvaluator.java:52: package org.apache.oro.text.regex does not exist
[javac] import org.apache.oro.text.regex.MalformedPatternException;
I've been wrestling with getting struts to compile under gump and hopefully i've fixed it. But I am not sure since log4j isn't compiling under gump.
The URL I pointed to above has the full detrails.
