Niclas,

Is there a valid reason for gump to track log4j 1.2? As I discussed with you privately, Niclas, I do not wish to have the code on the CVS 1.2 branch changed so that it differs from the released version (1.2.8.). We agreed that you would use 1.3, the main trunk. Do you recall that?

Anyway, I intend to ask the gumpmeisters to delete their support for the 1.2 branch.

We have started to trial with JDK1.5 in Gump. It won't be soon for it to
become the official build platform, nor nagging you about it.

However, I think it is time to slowly reporting problems found, to the
respective camps, for them to take a look at it.

This is the Log4J 1.2 package ( I haven't checked 1.3 yet), which uses the
"enum" variable name that is not compatible in JDK1.5.

Is it possible for you guys to;
1. remove this in the 1.2 branch??
2. check if it is present in the 1.3 development?

It would make us very happy if it could be arranged.

Thanks
Niclas
