http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43131 Summary: XMLDecoder uses dummy: protocol for DTD Product: Log4j Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: chainsaw AssignedTo: [email protected] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] XMLDecoder calls setSystemID("dummy://log4j.dtd") to set an absolute URL so that parser could absolutize the relative URL for the log4j.dtd in the DOCTYPE declaration. Some parsers check that the protocol is registered and will complain. A better solution is to provide an absolute URL for the DOCTYPE declaration that is added to the decoded fragments and avoid the need to absolutize the URL before the entity resolver handles it. The problem was reported on log4j-user on 2007-08-15. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
