The ASF board meeting that was originally scheduled for day was
pushed back to the 29th. We've had increasing traffic on the user's
list about the extras companion and new users jumping into log4j 1.3
since it appears to be the latest and greatest. I think it would be
good if we could get a log4j 1.2.15 released and an initial release
of the extras companion out sooner rather than later. I'd like to
release extras simultaneously with log4j 1.2.15 since together they
provide most of the migration path for log4j 1.3 users. In not too
concerned about getting everything into the initial extras release as
I think we can provide followup releases more frequently than we can
for log4j 1.2.x.
Are there any issues that need or should be addressed before cutting
another release candidate?
Is there a particular date that would be better to get the 3 PMC
votes required to actually release the thing?
