I've been on vacation for a week and the backlog of changes to Bugzilla is daunting. There already was a bug for the log4j 1.2.16 release (bug 43313) and somehow it and the newly introduced one (Bug 45527) need to be reconciled. Glad you are back in business.
The sole reason for 45527 was to have a single point of determining what was pending. To be honest I think I had missed the original bug when getting around to deal with what needs to be done and what doesn't for the 1.2.16 release. My idea is to have an easy way to determine if there is any more work that must be done before releasing.
