I have submitted a signed ICLA to [email protected] and mentioned "log4j 
(log4j 2)" in the "notify project" field.

I will wait and get a software grant from him if I actually end up using any of 
his code. I do not yet know if I'm for sure going to, and I'd hate to waste his 
time and end up not using it.
