Nick Williams commented on LOG4J2-223:
--------------------------------------

Java 1.8.0-ea-b88
Tomcat 8.0-SNAPSHOT (r1478984)
No special command-line options.
I am not using Async Loggers.
I am not using another ContextSelector.
I /am/ using the Tag Library but I get this error even if I don't go to any
JSPs, so I don't think that's it.

I'd encourage you to try to duplicate this on Java 7 / Tomcat 7 before
bothering trying to replicate my setup.
