I am confused. The above is exactly what the PatternSelector does. See the
Pattern Selectors link I posted above and then look at the
ScriptPatternSelector. Also, the ScriptAppenderSelector -
http://logging.apache.org/log4j/2.x/manual/appenders.html#ScriptAppenderSelector
- will defer creating an appender until it has been selected - the other
appender definitions will be ignored.
