Is there a way to change a Category's priority while the program is running? i.e. is there a way to tell log4j to reparse the properties file when it changes (or maybe every few minutes)? I would like to be able to do the following: 1. look at log file and notice message at error level for Category "Test". 2. change properties file so that priority for "Test" is now DEBUG instead of ERROR. 3. recreate condition that caused the ERROR and now see DEBUG notices also. I would like to be able to do all this without restarting program since it is a long running server process with a long startup time. Is this possible?
