I haven't used the feature, but I understand one can define variables in
property files and use them to substitute.  Like scripting variables, say,
ROOT="C:/mydir", then later, File=%ROOT%/foo.bar.  Like I said, I haven't
used them, so I not sure of the syntax or whether there are restrictions
where they can be used.

I'd give it a guick try, but I'm away from my dev machine.
