Because in log4j 1.3, there will be very flexible ways of rolling
files by strategy. One would be able to choose the triggering strategy
(when to rollover) and also the copying strategy (how log files are
copied, named, compressed etc.).
Since the existing RollingAppenders will become legacy code there was
no interest in investing in CompositeRollingAppender.
