We switched from using a FileAppender to a SyslogAppender to log messages remotely to a Linux (Fedora Core 2) syslog daemon. However, long messages (approximately > 512 to 1204 characters, which is essentially most of our stack traces) are being truncated. Is this a syslog configuration issue or a limitation or bug in the SyslogAppender?
