No, this is just an unfortunate side effect of some changes going on inside
log4j on the way to log4j 1.3.  The remote server you are using log4j 1.2.x,
but Chainsaw uses the latest log4j 1.3 builds, and there is some
compatability problems.

I think Scott is trying to come up with a solution at the moment (an
XML-based Socket appender that can be a supplement jar to log4j1.2.x), but
removing Location Info is the only workaround for the time being.
