I'm using the latest 1.2 log4j (http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/index.html) which is 1.2.15 (http://archive.apache.org/dist/logging/log4j/1.2.15/). The DailyRollingFileAppender methods getDatePattern and setDatePattern are documented at http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/apidocs/org/apache/log4j/DailyRollingFileAppender.html#getDatePattern() and http://logging.apache.org/log4j/1.2/apidocs/org/apache/log4j/DailyRollingFileAppender.html#setDatePattern(java.lang.String) respectively.
