Our build system runs on NAnt. We must upgrade to NAnt 0.85 before our next release. We don't have a nightly build in place. Our build requirements are a little strange and several of our binaries can only be built on Windows. > > Check of project name for trademark issues > > Google search for log4net exclusively came up with ASF > related links (or the earlier SourceForge log4net which > indicates code has moved to > ASF) with the exception of log4net.net which appears to be a > domain parker (Domain Drop S.A served by EVERYPARKING.COM) > and does not provide any software. My company (Neoworks) owns the registration for the log4net.com and log4.net domains (but not the log4net.net domain). I'm working on getting these to point to the LS site. Can log4net be called "Apache log4net" before it has graduated incubation? > > Meritocracy / Community > > Demonstrate an active and diverse development community The > project is > > not highly dependent on any single contributor (there's at least 3 > > legally independent committers and there is no single company or > > entity that is vital to the success of the project) > > Commits in 2006 were exclusively rgrabowski and nicko, niall > and drieseng had several commits in 2005. nicko and niall > are both founders of NeoWorks. Not sure if we have had any :) I hope conflict is not a requirement to exit incubation. > > Alignment / Synergy > > Use of other ASF subprojects > > Would be nice to have an Ant or Maven build in addition to NAnt. I don't know how easy this would be, our current NAnt build is rather complicated. I would certainly like to see an automated build, probably GUMP. > > Releases are PGP signed by a member of the community > > No releases so far. I will try to contact [EMAIL PROTECTED] to join the Apache Web of Trust. If Ron can publish his key then we can get 2 committers into the web.
