The Apache license is designed to allow commercial redistribution and modification.
The old releases of log4net were licensed under the 1.1 license http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-1.1 The CVS source is licensed under the new 2.0 license http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.html Both these licenses allow commercial redistribution of original binary files, modified binary files, original source and modified source. There are some conditions listed in the license regarding inclusion or the apache license, accreditation in the resulting product, and use of the Apache names. I am not a lawyer and this does not construe advice, you should seek guidance from your own independent council.
