It's all my fault (well nearly) I was using the log4net assembly that shipped with NAnt RC3. According to the release notes, this was upgraded to log4net 1.2.9, but it looks like there was a problem with the release and it shipped with the old version. This has now been fixed in the nightly builds, and everything seems to be OK now.
