If you accept you would get access to the SVN system directly and would be able to commit your patches yourself. :-) In order to create you a new account, the ASF needs a signed CLA from you. See http://www.apache.org/dev/pmc.html#newcommitter and http://www.apache.org/licenses/#clas for the details. Once the CLA is processed and on file, I will ask for account creation and karma for SVN. Please let me also know about your preferred apache user id.
