As discussed on the dev mailing list, we decided to perform several site
improvements:
1. Use XDOC where needed since APT can be very limiting.
2. Update the site appearence by using bootstrap [1] and google-code-prettify
[2]. both licenced under ASFv2.
3. Divide the appender, layout and filter documentation into one page per
element. Having all elements on a single page makes for very long pages.
4. Add google analytics (under discussion).
